The dog concerned came into Forever Hounds Trust’s care lawfully. The legal owner of this dog was Mr Jones’s former partner who signed him over to be homed by a rescue, as was her legal right. The dog was subsequently found a new home, where he is much-loved and very well cared for. The removal of this dog from Mr Jones’s property is a civil matter between Mr Jones and his former partner, and Forever Hounds Trust have not been involved in this issue.
We have made a complaint to both the Police and the Information Commissioners’ Office regarding the inappropriate obtainment and use of personal data, and subsequent harassment of the new owners. Both matters are now being investigated by the relevant parties.
When Forever Hounds Trust home a dog, potential new owners are very carefully selected and thoroughly checked before being matched with the dog that is right for them. Forever Hounds Trust are confident that the dog concerned has found a happy, loving and safe home, and they have the full support of Forever Hounds Trust.
