Everyone at Forever Hounds Trust has been deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Anne Finch. Anne was a true sighthound saviour and was instrumental in highlighting the abuse of Spanish dogs, both galgos and greyhounds. Together with her husband, Arthur, Anne founded the charity Greyhounds in Need twenty years ago.
Many of those who have worked with Forever Hounds Trust through the years will have met and been inspired by Anne. Jan Lake, Chair of Trustees for Forever Hounds Trust, today said: “In my early days volunteering in dog rescue Anne was one of the first people I met, and she left a lasting impression on me. A brave and strong lady who spoke up for what she believed in in a calm and measured way, she was respected so much for her compassion and dedication for the welfare of her beloved sighthounds. May she rest in peace at the Bridge, catching up with all her rescue dogs. She will be sorely missed.”
