Greyhounds and lurchers at Forever Hounds Trust are looking for love this February, and have plenty to give themselves in return. Staff and volunteers at the Trust are trying to find homes for the dogs in their care and are appealing for people to share their love this month and offer a dog a home. All those homing a dog during the month of February will receive a free book, either Lurchers as Pets or Retired Greyhounds, both written by Forever Hounds Trust’s very own published author and behavourist, Carol Baby. In addition to the book, new owners will also receive a heart ID tag.

Greyhounds and lurchers make great pets. Greyhounds are affectionately known as the ’40mph couch potato’ because, while they like to spend much of their time snoozing on the sofa. Lurchers are a sighthound crossed with any other breed of dog, which means they come in all shapes and sizes and are therefore suitable for many people and families.
