Forever Hounds Trust are very excited that the 2015 Afternoon Tea Party, which takes place on Sunday 16 August, is almost here.
Hosted by Forever Hounds Trust Honorary Friend Lord Faringdon at the beautiful Buscot Park in Oxfordshire, the event includes a fun dog show, auction, raffle, stalls and of course, lots of tea and cake!
Gates open at midday and we are very excited to be launching the first ever Forever Hounds Trust Barking Bake Off to kick the event off. Champions will be crowned for best human cake and best hound cake, by our very own Mary B! Entries will be open between 12.00 -12.20pm, with judging beginning at 12.30pm.
This will be followed by a fantastic auction with exciting lots including:
- 1 week dog friendly holiday in Cornwall
- Silver Peacock martingale collar
- Bronze Frith sculptures
- Unique Harris Hare Hound
- Dog-friendly B&B stay for two
- Plus more!
And if that wasn’t enough we also have the luxury raffle! Some wonderful prizes are on offer including a bottle of wine, Silver Peacock voucher, dog treats, chocolates, collar and lead set, hand knitted hound jumper, dog toys, and much much more!
A special parade of some of our current homeless hounds will take place in the paddock before the dog show and each will receive their very own special rosette.
The dog show at 3pm is open to all breeds, with the following fun classes:
- Most handsome dog
- Prettiest bitch
- Waggiest tail
- Best veteran (8 years+)
- Best human and hound fancy dress
- Dog the judge would most like to take home
Entries by optional donation at the ringside on the day, rosettes to 5th place and fantastic goodie bags for winners!
Forever Hounds Trust merchandise and other stands will be open throughout, and Buscot Park’s lovely tea rooms will be serving lunches, cakes and drinks.
