If you adopt Arty (or any of our dogs), you will be entitled to receive FREE behavioural support from our qualified team of behaviourists for any issues you might need help with during his lifetime. Further information will be given when homing Arty. Please note, this support is only available for dogs adopted from Forever Hounds Trust.
Arty is a handsome 3 year-old saluki cross, who has proven himself to be social with everyone he has met.
Whilst he is comfortable in human company, he can be a little uncertain around other dogs when out and about. To prevent any potential reactivity, adopters should have an awareness of canine body language to check he is coping with any situation he might find himself in. The behaviour team will provide support in this respect. Arty has previously lived in a home with another dog, however his assessment is still ongoing with regards to suitability whether he can in his new home.
Arty will need a semi-rural or rural home as he has displayed some anxiety with passing traffic and sudden noises. He will need adopters, preferably with previous sighthound experience, who are committed to following his training and management plan. Arty responds really well to both food rewards and verbal praise as he loves a fuss!
Arty is very playful, and great fun to be around – check out the video below! Can you offer handsome Arty a home? Please do get in touch!
