If you adopt Cecy (or any of our dogs), you will be entitled to receive FREE behavioural support from our qualified team of behaviourists for any issues you might need help with during her lifetime. Further information will be given when homing Cecy. Please note, this support is only available for dogs adopted from Forever Hounds Trust.
Our elegant lady Cecy is a five-year-old ex-racing greyhound who’s now looking for a quiet residence where she can put up her delicate white paws and live a life of refined luxury. This gorgeous brindle-and-white damsel retired from racing two years ago, and has been looking for the right home ever since. As you’d expect from such a refined girl, her needs are quite particular, but once these are met she will become the jewel in her new family’s crown.
Cecy is very nervous around new people, and will need multiple visits from her prospective humans to make sure she’s comfortable enough to go home with them (most likely a number of visits over a few weeks). Because of her delicate nerves, Cecy will need to live in a quiet, adult-only home where there are few disruptions or noisy visitors. Ideally, she will have access to peaceful walking areas where she won’t get overwhelmed by too many strange people. While she takes time to build enough confidence to interact with unfamiliar people, once she has gained confidence, she is affectionate and interactive.
To help her settle in, she will need to go to a home with another hound or large breed in residence. Basically, our socialite needs a big, playful, laid back toyboy to keep her entertained! She did spend some time in foster, so she knows the domestic ropes, but she doesn’t like to share her home with other female dogs, or older/less confident dogs who aren’t keen on her boisterous play-style. Cecy is friendly and appropriate when meeting dogs out and about, including small breeds.
Sweet Cecy has been waiting so long for the right home – could you (and your big, handsome hound) welcome her into yours? With time and patience, this lovely lady will win your hearts, and your sofa. Will you give her the chance she deserves? If so, please get in touch.
Please read our latest Covid guidelines before you apply to adopt this lovely hound.
