Frank is a beautiful, five year old greyhound who is having a great time in foster but is now ready to find his forever home. He’s clean and quiet inside the house and enjoys a good snooze on the sofa, but also loves his walks. He can be left on his own for reasonable periods of time. He adores fuss and attention and leans in close for a good belly rub! He happily sits next to you on the sofa and enjoys tickles all night long.

Frank is always up for a walk, however he does find new adventures very exciting and stimulating as there is so much to take in. Like many ex-racing greyhounds he has missed out on his early socialisation with different dog breeds, and can struggle to behave appropriately around them. Frank’s foster parents have been continuing his training when walking and he is making good progress in remaining calm when encountering other dogs on walks. Slowly but surely, he is learning how to be around other dogs without becoming frustrated and anxious. Frank does not know how to appropriately socialise with others dogs, with the exception of some other greyhounds. He finds getting too close to other dogs, or watching other dogs running off lead very over-stimulating and can pull, cry and bark when spotting them. For this reason he needs a home with walking areas where he will not encounter a large number of dogs (especially off-lead dogs) and will need to remain on-lead and muzzled for his walks.

Frank has a lovely gentle temperament, although can easily get excited. He is not comfortable around young children so needs a home with older teenagers only. He needs to be the only dog in the home, though would benefit from some greyhound walking buddies out and about.

Frank loves a game of fetch in the garden and really showing off how fast he can run when visiting a secure field for hire. He is intelligent and has learnt basic cues such as ‘come here’, ‘wait’, ‘leave’ and more.

This big love-bug is affectionate and playful, and stunningly handsome. Frankly, we think he’s perfect. Could you offer this gorgeous, friendly boy his forever home?
