Jim is a big, bouncy 3 year old greyhound boy who is full of fun (and as you can see above, is a master of ear-obics!). He loves people but can be a little over-enthusiastic at times, so would prefer to live with older teenagers – ideally ones used to large dogs who don’t know their own strength! He loves fuss and attention, though like a lot of dogs he is a bit unsure of being hugged and cuddled. Jim has lived in a home before, so does have some experience of home life. Since this was through another organisation, we don’t have many details on his behaviour in the home – the only issue reported was that he was a little too interested in the smaller dog next door.
Jim is an outgoing boy who walks well on-lead for the most part, but can be very strong when excited. He needs a physically fit handler who can cope with his size and exuberance. Jim is an active boy who will need a reasonable amount of exercise, but also likes to crash on the sofa once he’s been out. His absolute favourite thing is food and he does forget his table manners at times!
Jim is a big fan of other hounds and larger breeds, but does need some ongoing care around smaller dogs. His intentions are mainly social but he finds small breeds rather over-exciting at the moment, so can struggle to behave appropriately when meeting them. He could live with another large dog pending introductions.
