Kraken is a young greyhound with very limited racing experience, he’s only just 2 years old. Saying that, his inexperience in life outside racing shows as he gets used to the big wide world.
He is a shy and sensitive boy who is starting to relax in his current environment, however, he will most likely need help in his next transition to life outside of kennels – slow and gentle introductions will be needed to all the new things he will encounter. Therefore, he is looking for a quiet, adult only home with people willing to keep his life small and safe; especially initially. A large secure garden will certainly support this transition.
He can be a bit worried by other dogs, so would prefer to be an only dog, however, we would also consider a home with an another calm and well-adjusted sighthound who would give him lots of space.
Kraken enjoys human interaction, but would only be comfortable with gentle fuss, no hugging or kissing – he just doesn’t understand what this means so will feel overwhelmed with overt displays of affection.
The kraken is a majestic mythical creature from greek mythology (and a delicious dark Rum!); and although our Kraken is certainly no myth nor tipple, he’s just as deserving of this reverence! This special boy really is a sweetheart who just wants a loving home of of own, so, if you are a patient, understanding person, with loads of love to give, please do get in touch!
