Lyric is a pretty 7 year old lurcher who has been in a foster home for the last 3 months.

Lyric is a sweet, but VERY shy little girl, who feels more comfortable around women, so is looking for a female only home, or where a female can do most of the caring initially. She is very polite and well behaved in the house, always clean, and sleeps right through the night.

She enjoys her own company, and likes to spend time in ‘her’ room but will present herself for dinner, and to have a little wander – therefore, she would like a safe place to call her own in her new home. She also enjoys spending time in the garden, and as her gentle playful side has started to emerge, zoomies have been a joy to watch.

Lyric enjoys going for a walk, and will trot along happily, but she does not like other dogs in her face, and will shout at them if they get too close – she is generally very unsettled by dogs so would like to live in an area where there isn’t high dog traffic, and will need to be the only dog in the house.

Because of her very shy nature, Lyric needs a kind, gentle and quiet home, with patient and understanding people who will let her take things at her own pace. It should be expected that she will be very worried initially, but with time, patience and positive reinforcement, over a period of months, her personality will start to emerge.

If you have a busy household, and are looking for a social dog that will shower you with affection, Lyric definitely ISN’T your girl. However, if you would like a quiet, polite and inoffensive hound, who will reward you for your understanding and patience by emerging into a loyal, gentle and playful companion – Lyric IS the girl for you!
