If you adopt Minestrone (or any of our dogs), you will be entitled to receive FREE behavioural support from our qualified team of behaviourists for any issues you might need help with during his lifetime. Further information will be given when homing Minestrone. Please note, this support is only available for dogs adopted from Forever Hounds Trust.
It’s fair to say that handsome Minestrone is a huge favourite in kennels – this lovely three year old lad has a huge personality that you just can’t fail to fall in love with. He really enjoys human company and is super fun to be around, always eager for play time or training. He never fails to make us smile with his expressions and cheeky ways.
He loves going out and about, always being up for a new walking adventure to meet new people and dogs – as long as there are no large scary vehicles about, or it’s raining! Yes, Minestrone is a fair-weather greyhound…but aren’t they all? Although we can’t guarantee it won’t rain anywhere, we CAN ensure he will continue to enjoy his walks by homing him to a rural or quiet suburban environment….with a comfortable bed where he can snuggle up in if it’s raining! He does rather love snoozing the day away!
Minestrone walks nicely on the lead, with or without another hound. He has been social and polite with the other greyhounds he has met and he will need to live with another hound (or medium to large dog) – compatibility will assessed during introductions at kennels. He enjoys chasing toys, and happily drops them when asked.
Minestrone has probably never lived in a home before, so adopters with sighthound experience would be advantageous but it’s not essential as long as they are willing to work on a training plan with our behaviourial team to help him continue to progress as he settles into a home and a completely new way of life. He’s a clever boy and eager to please so ongoing training should be fun for both parties.
Minestrone really is a ‘soup’er boy, with great potential to be the missing piece in someone’s family. As much as we will miss him, we can’t wait to see him settled in a new home with his new family to adore him as much as we do. Please get in touch, you won’t regret it.
Please read our latest Covid guidelines before you apply to adopt this lovely hound.
