Cutie Charlie is not quite three years old, and he only raced six times! He quickly decided that a racing career wasn’t for him, and opted for retirement instead. You can see him here pictured with his kennel mate Glow, who has already found a home – Charlie is hoping he’ll soon follow in her pawsteps and find a forever home of his own.

This brindle boy is loving and affectionate, but can be a little shy of new people. He will need a considerate home where he will be given the time he needs to adapt to life as a pet. This will include ongoing socialisation with small breeds, as until he came to Forever Hounds Trust, he has never met a non-greyhound, and he isn’t quite sure whether they’re friend or foe! Charlie would love to live with another confident, large dog who can show him the ropes – he was very tolerant of feisty Glow and should fit in with an existing family dog. He could also live with older children: he’s a bit nervous of being hugged at the moment, so his new family will need to let him settle in slowly, and take him to quiet areas for walks.

Our Charlie is a darling, and will think the world of who ever takes him. Could you sweep him out of kennels and onto your sofa forever?
