Hazel – Homed

  • Greyhound X
  • Female
  • Can live with children, 10 plus
  • Needs to be an only dog

Gorgeous Hazel will be two years old in November and is 27.5 inches to the shoulder. Hazel spent a very short time in a home but found the resident dogs a little overwhelming, and so had to be returned to FHT through no fault of her own. The family she lived with fell in love with her straight away and were really sorry to have to return her.

Hazel has a huge personality just waiting for the right home. She was clean in the house and really enjoyed meeting visitors – her new admirers. Hazel also went to an obedience lesson and was doing really well at learning to leave and she very much enjoyed all the attention and treats.

She thoroughly enjoyed her walks in the woods while in a home, but had never seen traffic before she came to us and so is still learning about those big scary lorries and tractors. She has been walked along roads at quiet times in the evenings to slowly get her used to traffic, but she may need some more work on this.

Hazel is a sweet natured, gentle girl who loves toys, especially those of the squeaky variety, and enjoys playing in the garden. She has met our six-year-old child tester and was a little star. Hazel also passed our shih tzu test with flying colours and has been very good when meeting other dogs on the lead. She is also great when walking out with the other dogs, and doesn’t pull.

Hazel is an absolutely cracking girl and adores cuddles. She does still have a little to learn about living in a house but was picking it up very quickly, and we are sure she will get the hang of it in no time. Could you offer her a forever home?
