Luke may be more of a Fieldwalker than a Skywalker – but he’s definitely a Jedi Master! One glance from those bottomless brown eyes, and you’ll be handing over the treats and toys before you realise it. A real foodie, Luke is a sucker for edible bribes, so should be easy to teach new tricks. This happy six-year-old also really loves his teddies! He’s a people person too, and is always keen for a cuddle. Easy on the lead, and very responsive, he’s just a great all-round hound.

Because he was raised in a racing kennel, Luke has limited experience of non-greyhounds, and can get overexcited by other breeds of dog. He has come on in leaps and bounds since he’s been with us (and no longer leaps and bounds at other pups), but will need on-going socialisation in low stress environments while he becomes more relaxed around unknown canines. Luke will also need a secure, private garden to run in, as he will have to stay on the lead, with a handler who is able to hold him, when out and about, and avoid busy parks with lots of off-lead dogs.

This black and white boy is one of the most handsome hounds we’ve met in a long time, and he can’t wait to make his forever home his own. Luke could live with another greyhound, and older children (who won’t mind him running off with their toys) – and anyone else who’ll make a fuss of him. One look from Luke and you’ll know, this IS the dog you’re looking for!
