Snip & Silver

  • Greyhound
  • Can live with children, 10 plus
  • Somerset
  • Would like a home to go to together

Snip and Silver make up a very special thing: a bonded pair of greyhounds. These two adorable ex-racers share a kennel and would love a home to go to together. Silver is actually black, but raced under the name Silvery Moon, while brindle boy Snip raced as He’s A Snip – and we think this two-for-one set are a real bargain!

Silver is definitely the leader of the pack. A really sociable, interactive girl, she is very affectionate, and loves meeting new people. She walks well on the lead and is happy to greet other dogs. She is confident when out and about, and we’ll think she’ll make a lovely, easy pet. Very gentle and polite, she could live with children of any age. She loves to play with toys, but is still working out how to take treats from people’s hands.

By contrast, Snip can be under-confident, especially in busy places. He’s a friendly, affectionate boy but does have a sensitive side – he loves soft fuss and attention, but doesn’t like to be hugged or have intense handling, so needs to live with older or experienced children. Snip really loves his treats, but is very gentle when taking them. He has shown very little interest in toys while in kennels, so perhaps Silver will have to teach him how to play! Snip also walks well on the lead, and is friendly with other dogs when given a chance to meet them calmly.

These gorgeous greyhounds are both just three years old, so it’s a great opportunity to adopt a ready-made pair of young dogs with many years of love to give. Will you send them over the (Slivery) Moon and take them home together?
