Please join us with your greyhound, lurcher or other sighthound and be part of this worldwide event.
The walk meets and ends at The Alice Park Cafe, Alice Park, Bath which is situated by the traffic lights where the Gloucester Road meets the London Road just before you reach Batheaston.
There is limited car free parking at Alice Park but plenty of on street car parking. If you are coming by bus, it’s a short walk from the bus stop (see firstbus.co.uk).
Look out for the FHT banner by the entrance to the park. Meet at the Cafe about 9.45 for a 10am start for a pre walk group photo and maybe grab a coffee before we set off, go to the toilet (you’ll need 20p) and there is a water tap for the dogs to have a drink as well.
The walk is 2.6 miles around Bathampton Meadow. It is on the flat, the walk is in a loop across three fields with one small set of steps over a small bridge and a few rabbit holes on the footpath.
If three fields is more than you want, you can cut the walk short and just do the first two fields.
This walk is very popular with dog walkers in general, so please keep your dog on a lead.
We are aiming to get back to Alice Park Café around 11.30.
Please join us back at Alice Park for a post walk group photo and sighthound pointy nose count!
Alice Park Café has a great all day menu and is very dog friendly. Cafe owner, Tony is a great supporter of FHT, as are the regulars of this lovely park and the surrounding area of Larkhall.
We will have an FHT information table and there will be a raffle in aid of Forever Hounds Trust.
As well as being a fab dog friendly park it’s also very family friendly, so, if you bring the children they will love it as well.
See you on Sunday 24th !
