Two more greyhounds rescued from the notorious Canidrome in Macau arrived with Forever Hounds Trust two weeks ago, joining the three that came into our care on Valentine’s Day. All five dogs are settling in well to life in the UK and slowly learning about life as a much loved pet. We are having to take things slowly with all the dogs, as there is so much for them to take in, but they are coming on really well and have been quick to learn what the crackle of a treat bag means!
Amore, one of the first dogs to arrive with us, has gone to live in a foster home, where he is learning about life inside a house and enjoying the company of the humans and other hounds in the home. Valentina is really enjoying her food, and Oyster is particularly keen on a cuddle!

The two newest arrivals have been names Sophie and Monty and are also both finding their feet slowly. Monty is interested in absolutely everything and is learning fast about everything in his new environment. Sophie has discovered a love of tennis balls! It’s a real privilege to see these dogs come out of their shells and begin to enjoy good food, lots of affection and fun games. It will be a little while before these dogs are ready to go to their forever homes, but they will certainly make wonderful companions when they do.
With the arrival of these five dogs, plus many others that were in urgent need of rescue our rescue spaces are now full and we are in desperate need of home offers for some of the dogs that are ready to move on to forever homes. Can you help? Please call us on 03000 111 100, email enquiries@foreverhoundstrust.org or fill out the form on this page to find out more. Thank you.
