Forever Hounds Trust welcomes the launch of the League Against Cruel Sports report on ‘The state of greyhound racing in Great Britain’ and our CEO, chair of trustees and representatives from the Forever Hounds Trust welfare team will be attending the reception launch this week.
As an organisation committed to the welfare of racing greyhounds and those that retire from the track, Forever Hounds Trust are committed members of the UK Greyhound Forum; we have however been disappointed by the lack of progress made in this area.
We hope that the 2015 regulation review will provide the opportunity and impetus to facilitate the much needed change to protect greyhounds from ‘cradle to grave’ and to ensure that ex racing greyhounds can make the transition from racing to a loving retirement that suits their individual needs.
