Forever Hounds Trust is so keen to find a home for a handsome greyhound currently being looked after near Matlock, Derbyshire that we have given his story a musical twist!
For the last few months Oliver, a five-year-old ex-racing greyhound, has been living with his foster mum and a nine-year-old greyhound foster sister. His foster mum has created a musical plea with a twist for the handsome dog, in the hope it will help him find his forever home…..
When Oliver moved in he was a very frightened boy, anxious in new situations and around new people. But, in no time at all he has overcome his fears, with ‘Food, wonderful food, glorious fooooooood’ (and a clicker); made new friends (hound and human); and is learning that ‘It’s a fine, fine life!’
But, Oliver wants more!
‘MORE???’
‘Please, sir, I want some more!’
It’s clear that Oliver is ready for his forever home: a quiet space, without children, but with one or two canine companions who will join in a game or two and keep him company. Oliver needs someone who isn’t out all day long. ‘So long, fare the well, pip pip cheerio’. He will be just fine for a while, but he’ll want you to ‘Be back soon’!
This orphan boy requires a gentle benefactor, one who will continue with his training and help him transition into the playful, comical lad he’s promising to be. He just wants to hear someone sing: ‘Consider yourself at home. Consider yourself one of the family. We’ve taken to you so strong. It’s clear, we’re going to get along’!
