The coronavirus pandemic has hit all areas of society hard. Charities have been no exception, and with restrictions meaning the cancellation of events and closures of charity shops, for many it has been hard to maintain income and donations.
Despite a drop in funds, the demand for the services some charities provide has increased, making it doubly hard.
So, for many charities it was good news when the government announced financial help for the sector.
But not so for charities like Forever Hounds Trust, when animal welfare charities were not included.
The funds are needed, and therefore we are supporting this petition, calling on the government to include animal charities in their emergency coronavirus funding.
