Forever Hounds Trust rescued this lurcher puppy Milo last year. He faced a very uncertain future with his litter-mates in Ireland. Once alerted to their plight, our volunteers rallied to bring the pups to safety, moving them to foster homes, arranging veterinary treatments and preparing them for their first ever home.
Milo is now a happy bouncy boy, enjoying life with his forever family (which includes a cat!). Ongoing support from our homing volunteers has ensured that he settled in with no problems and is now facing a much brighter future in a safe and warm, loving home. This kind of rescue is made possible by the support of people like YOU – thank you!

The regular support of Friends means that Forever Hounds Trust can continue to be there to help dogs in need – from puppies, to golden oldies, and hounds of all ages in between!  It costs, on average, around £600 to rescue each dog and provide the necessary care, treatment and kennelling to help the transition from unwanted dog to family pet.  This can often take months, especially when the dog has suffered bad treatment in the past.

A monthly donation of £5 (our suggested amount) from each Friend can help to pay for – transport to a safe place for a dog in our kennels; emergency veterinary attention as well as routine vaccinations and flea treatment; food and warm bedding; finding a forever home.  We rely on a team of over 600 dedicated volunteers around the country, so we can direct funds towards the care of the dogs as much as possible.

You can also become a ‘Friend for Life’ for a  donation of £500.

By becoming a Friend, you’ll know that you are helping to save dogs’ lives.  As a huge thank you on their behalf, we’ll send you our Talking Hounds magazine twice a year, so you can read about how your support is helping.  You’ll also receive a car/window sticker to show your support for Forever Hounds Trust.  Friends for Life will also receive invitations to special events throughout the year.
