Handsome lurcher Toby won over the hearts of scores of Forever Hounds Trust volunteers and supporters when he had to undergo surgery to remove one of his legs to enable him to run around pain free.
Just a few months on from that operation the charity are delighted to reveal that Toby has now found a forever home and has been very happily living with his new family.
Toby came into the care of greyhound and lurcher rescue charity Forever Hounds Trust earlier this year, unable to run around as he does now. A previous injury to his hind leg had left him with a painful and useless limb. It was decided that the only course of action for Toby was to remove the leg and help him to live a full and pain-free life on three paws.
Thanks to the love and dedication of the team of volunteers at Forever Hounds Trust, Toby has made an incredible recovery and to see him dashing about now it’s hard to believe he only has three legs.

As you can see from the photos of him in his new home, he is happy and care-free and the volunteers at Forever Hounds Trust are delighted to see him happy and settled and living a normal life as a much-loved pet.
Forever Hounds Trust have set up an appeal to help cover the costs of Toby’s treatment and allow the charity to help even more dogs like him. If you would like to help, please visit

Although Toby has now found his forever home, there are many more greyhounds and lurchers in the care of Forever Hounds Trust still looking for a home of their own. If you could offer a home to a dog, please get in touch on 03000 111 100 or email enquiries@foreverhoundstrust.org.
