Forever Hounds Trust – Board Level Trustee Roles – Voluntary Unpaid
Forever Hounds Trust is a UK based charity which rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes greyhounds and lurchers.
We are looking for 2 x Board Level Trustees to strengthen our senior team.
We cover the whole of the UK, with our administration office in Oxford, but have a very strong base in the central to South West regions.
1. Trustee for Homing, Kennelling and Welfare. This person would need to have a background in and good understanding of dog behaviour and welfare rights issues and the challenges faced by dogs before they are re-homed. We would particularly welcome applications from qualified dog behaviourists and/or veterinary practitioners
2. Trustee for Volunteering. This person would need to have good communication, engagement and leadership skills and be willing to lead on the Charity’s plans to continue to recruit and lead our population of volunteers.
Both roles are voluntary and unpaid. They present an excellent development opportunity for individuals to contribute to the Board of our organisation and support us with key decisions regarding strategy and operational delivery. Trustees are required to attend quarterly Board meetings. An individual’s time commitment to this role can vary extensively but we need people who have the capacity to make a real contribution – both at and between trustee meetings – and are motivated to work with the range of projects we have underway, supporting our Departmental Heads in dealing with any issues that arise.
