About Bella
Beautiful Bella is a sweet and gentle 5 year old greyhound girl, looking for a new family due to a change of circumstances at home. Bella is calm and affectionate, totally settled and clean inside the house, fine to be left alone for a few hours, sleeps through the night and is generally very easy to live with! She’s very friendly with people, and always happy to welcome visitors to the house. She can show a sleep startle response when woken up unexpectedly, so although she is very sociable with children, we would prefer to place her with older kids who can understand the need to give her space when resting. Bella walks beautifully on-lead, is used to walking in more built-up areas and is comfortable with taking trips to dog friendly pubs and cafes. She tends to ignore other dogs when out on walks, but usually isn’t comfortable with being approached by excitable dogs and will give a warning snap/bark. However, she is not looking for confrontation and is not at all difficult to manage on walks. She can be sociable with calm and polite dogs out and about. Like many sighthounds, Bella does have a strong prey drive.
Homing Needs
- Must be the only dog at home, and no visiting dogs (or able to keep separated during visits)
- Walking areas where she won’t be approached by a lot of loose dogs
- Could live with sensible, older children
- Could live in a semi-urban environment
- Can be left for a few hours at a time
- Needs plenty of love and affection!
