Our Ethical Fundraising Policy
Forever Hounds Trust is committed to its charitable aims and vision, and fundraises in order to achieve them.
We are independent of the Greyhound Racing industry and receive no funding from the Greyhound Board of Great Britain. We rely on funds from individual supporters, voluntary fundraisers, legacies, and grants from Trusts and Foundations to fund our rescue, rehabilitation and homing work.
People homing dogs from Forever Hounds Trust contribute towards our funds, and we ask for a donation from people handing in their dogs to us, except in cases of genuine personal hardship.
Donors and Supporters
Forever Hounds Trust
- respects the rights of its donors and supporters to have clear and truthful information about the work of the charity
- is open and transparent about how we spend donated funds
- treats and manages information about donors and supporters responsibly
- respects the privacy and contact preferences of donors and supporters, responding promptly to requests to cease contact and to complaints
- will comply with the requirements of the Charity Commission, the Code of Fundraising Practice (set by the Fundraising Regulator) and UK law in every respect.
Donations
Forever Hounds Trust
- abides by the law which requires us, in deciding whether to accept or refuse a donation, which action is in the best interest of the charity
- will have regard to whether acceptance of the donation will disproportionately decrease the amount of future donations and support to further our charitable aims
- will not accept donations made by individuals or companies whose activities appear, in the opinion of the Trustees, to be in direct conflict with our charitable aims and where acceptance of such a donation may assist in conferring respectability on the donor
