Thank you for your interest in applying to adopt one of our hounds. We use a combination of our rehoming experience, plus the knowledge and experience of our behaviourists and vets to help us find you the right dog for your family and lifestyle.
Depending on your circumstances it may take us some time to find the best match for you, but we will keep in touch to let you know what progress we are making and to see if your preferences have changed.
Homing to Families with Children
Like most rescue organisations, for safety reasons we can generally only place dogs with young children if they have known history of living with/being around children. Since most of our dogs come in with very little history and having never lived in a home/been socialised with children, we very rarely have dogs who we would be able to home directly into a home with young children. As a result, there might be a significant wait for a match.
Homing to Families with Cats
Sighthounds are noted for their prey drive and even though levels can vary between individuals, there is always an element of risk to cats and other small animals.
For this reason, if you do have a cat/s, please be aware that it may take many months for us to find a suitable match, so please only complete the application if you are prepared to wait.
