Your donations have meant that we have been able to save lovely Finn!
We were alerted to the plight of Finn and knew we had to act quickly to help him. Finn had been found straying and had been taken to the dog pound. Sadly, being abandoned and alone was not the last of his worries. The pound was full. This meant that if he was not claimed by his owner, after a week in the pound, Finn was going to be euthanised. There were no rescue spaces for him to go to and more dogs were arriving each day.
Although Finn was in the North East of England we needed to help him. As soon as he had completed his time in the local pound, we paid for him to be transported to a kennel space in Lincolnshire, where he stayed for a week. We did not have space in our kennels but did not want this to be a barrier to helping this sweet boy.
After a week in the kennels Finn started his long journey from Lincolnshire to Devon. Early on a Sunday morning he was driven to meet a volunteer to do the next leg of the journey; another 2 handovers later he was on the final part of the journey.
Arriving in Devon he was greeted by our kennel team, a comfy bed and a tasty meal, Finn’s new life had begun. Giving him a few days to settle after his journey and upheaval, his veterinary and behaviour assessment began.
Finn is the sweetest boy who has got a second chance at life, with your support we can help more dogs like Finn.
