Christmas Day in Rescue

Our dogs may not have got homes of their own yet, but we do our very best to ensure that they don’t miss out on Christmas!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…

The Magic of Christmas.

Everyone loves waking up in the morning to see what Santa has brought, and homeless hound Hopper is no different. He checks to see what gifts are under the tree and has a quick glance over the gate to see if he can catch a glimpse of the man himself.

His stocking is full; he may not have a family of his own, but he hasn’t been forgotten. Hopper was definitely on the nice list, and he deserves it after everything he’s been through.

This might be Hopper’s first Christmas in Rescue, but we want to make it a memorable one.

Christmas is about opening presents and our hearts.

Everyone loves opening presents, and our dogs are no different!

Here’s Olive and Hopper having fun opening their presents today. Not only do they receive the lovely goodies within, they enjoy the enrichment activity of actually opening the presents! (not all our dogs would be quite so careful!)

Here’s Coco opening her presents and discovering the joy of her lovely new toy! How such simple things can bring so much pleasure! It might have been yet another Christmas in rescue for Coco, but we have made sure it was the best one yet.

A Christmas Walk

Christmas Day wouldn’t be complete with a nice walk to stretch your legs, this is no different for our hounds.

Today may be just another day in rescue, but we try to make it special for everyone.

We think the team look great in their Santa hats, maybe it should be part of the uniform!
