About Percy

Percy is a lovely greyhound boy of around 2 years old, looking for his forever home. Percy has lived in a home previously, but came into our care as he didn’t enjoy sharing his home with another dog (although he is friendly with dogs out on walks). Percy’s family described him as “the most fantastic boy, so loving and quirky and with such a funny goofy side to him, and yet so calm and peaceful and lovely to be around”. He is used to home life, housetrained and generally very easy to live with! He loves his toys, loves snoozing on the sofa and is very affectionate with people. He does enjoy his walks, but is more of a couch potato and often isn’t keen to go out for a second time! Percy needs to be the only pet, because he doesn’t enjoy sharing his food, toys and resting areas with other dogs (he has no issues sharing with people, though!). He is sociable with other dogs on walks, though he generally isn’t overly interested in them. Percy travels well in the car and walks beautifully on-lead. Percy hasn’t been used to spending time on his own at home, but should be able to build up to short periods alone in time.

Homing Needs

  • Needs to be the only dog at home.
  • Needs someone home most of the time initially, with potential to spend short periods alone in time.
  • Must have access to the sofa!
