A Carol Service for Sighthounds & their humans will be hosted by our volunteers Abi & Andy and their singing greyhound Matilda again! Everyone is welcome if you are a regular church goer or not. Musicians leading us in a few well known carols. A couple of Christmas Bible readings and a Christian Christmas message addressing the theme of Rescue.
It might be an idea if possible to have hounds muzzled to see how everyone gets on in the church space, but if they are calm and composed they obviously won’t need it. There is lots of space to spread out, and the church has comfy chairs rather than pews so people can create their own little areas if that helps not get on top of each other. In the church is a wooden floor so it would be good to bring something for the hounds to lie on, but the heating will be on, and in the hall it is carpeted and has underfloor heating.
There is a car park at the church, or if that’s full there’s a public car park 1 minute up the road. There are a couple of secure outside spaces separate from the car park if dogs needed a time out or a visit to the loo then they could go there.
The church is Christ Church Westbourne – BH4 8ER and right by the shops, pubs, bars etc in Westbourne, and also not far from the beach and the Chines, so if anyone wants to join up for a walk before at 1pm, let me know.
