We absolutely loved receiving this heartwarming update on Luc from his lovely mum, he was was adopted from us in May 2021.
When I collected Luke (now Luc – Welsh spelling!), I had no idea of what a special greyhound he was.
In the three years I have had him he has grown in confidence, from a dog who was reluctant to get into my car, climb my house stairs, venture from room to room on his own or be relaxed in different environments to one who is totally chilled with all. He is loving his life with me in the countryside – just the two of us, now great pals!
He is a sweet and loving companion, who adjusts easily to different situations, for example when I was poorly and had to restrict our walking, he was perfectly happy with that. He loves his settee and his creature comforts, can be left alone for a few hours at a time, but equally has travelled with me on holidays to the north of Scotland from South Wales, staying in hotels in Glasgow, Lake District, etc, and has been as good as gold. I can take him anywhere.
He has made me friends too, as he is admired frequently. People stop me in the street/cafe’s etc, to ask me about him.
He is a BIG greyhound, yet is so easy to look after, excellent with all other dogs. He is excited by cats though, and I need to be careful with him in that regard! Apart from that, he is truly a perfect companion!
He’s been a total joy, wonderful companion, and is such a sweet, kind boy – great in every way.
