Scally (was Davy) went home recently and now lives in Wiltshire with his lovely family which includes two lurcher sisters – Breeze and Shadow. Here’s what he’s been up to since leaving our care, as told by his lovely mum:
Scally had a very relaxed trip home and has been so chilled for his first 24 hours in a home. The girls told him off a few times but he’s not at all bothered and just walks away. Breeze told him she was not sharing the bed but he decided otherwise and plonked himself down next to her and went to sleep!
After a week Scally had settled so well you would’ve thought he had been here forever. He has met the horses, big dogs, reactive dogs, small dogs, been to the pub, stuck his nose in the pavlova cream, stolen a celeriac, slippers, bobble hats, gloves, bags and so so many toys – he is just adorable!
Everyone thinks he is just fabulous. He sleeps through the night without a peep and is now asking to go out for wees. He has even learnt to go and lay on his bed when we are eating, when it is just so tempting to stick his face in your plate.
We are all in love with him (apart from Breeze who has started to play with him now but still thinks he is annoying!). He has found his voice so now we get a Breeze and Scally chorus when things get fun!

A further update made us smile even more…
Scally is becoming the right little thief! In just two days, these are some of the items he has stolen: a pair of trousers, a bag of mushrooms, a carrier bag (emptied it first), a pillow case, socks, trainers, dog coats, a fitted sheet, numerous cardboard items, paper off my desk, a box of tissues and plastic pots – he is such a character!
His sister Breeze isn’t so sure though – she says “Off with his head!” 😂
