We can’t tell you how happy we are when an update on one of our adopted hounds drops into our inbox, and this one on Wilbur (was Chateau) was really rather special….
We thought you might like an update on Wilbur who we rehomed two and a half years ago when he was Chateau.
Chateau was a sticky dog who we understand had been with you for a while but we were so, so lucky to have the chance to take home. He has been a near perfect companion and has settled in so well.
His temperament is so gentle and has been such that he has recently taken up a volunteer role as a Wellbeing Dog in Wiltshire Police supporting police officers and staff after traumatic events or simply a decompression support for teams more generally. Here he is having a day with teams in Swindon where he has been leaning against numerous people wanting more and more ear scratches and importantly has got conversations started.
We thought you might like a photo of some of the joy he is bringing.

Well done Wilbur, everyone at Forever Hounds Trust is extremely proud of you and your lovely mum and dad for nurturing you into the dog you are today!
