Help a Hound – Big Give Christmas Challenge

03/12/2024

***The Big Give Christmas Challenge has now finished, but our raffle is ongoing.***

Our ‘Help a Hound’ Big Give Christmas Challenge is now live!

Sad Hopper on arrival

Looking into Hopperโ€™s sad eyes you can sense how sore his skin felt and how let down he had been. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Hopper came to us with incredibly sore skin, he had many scars and as we got to know him, we realised that his scars are not just physical. Hopper finds it difficult to be handled by someone until he knows and can trust them โ€“ we can only guess at how he has been mistreated.

Hopper was used for coursing; his physical scars are a result of his past. His skin was inflamed, pink, and covered in scabs. Hopperโ€™s veterinary treatment began as soon as he came into our care. His skin took time to heal and it was only after this that we could vaccinate him and start to address his other veterinary needs.

Happy Hopper now

Our Big Give Appeal which runs from Tuesday 3rd until midday on Tuesday 10th December will directly help Hopper and the other dogs that come into our care in 2025.

During the week, donations will matched up to our matching pot of ยฃ5000, so your donation can have twice the impact!

We NEED to be there for them, and we need YOUR help to do this, so please donate to our ‘Help a Hound’ campaign

Please watch the video below to see what a difference donations have made not just Hopper, but many other dogs in our care.

Donate

As well as making your money go further for our hounds, if you buy a ticket for our Christmas Raffle, you might even be able to make your money go further for you too! First prize is ยฃ150, 2nd ยฃ100, 3rd ยฃ75, 4th ยฃ50 and 5th ยฃ25.

The good news is that the deadline for getting payment back to us is Wednesday, 8th January 2025, so why not sell some tickets to your family and friends over Christmas so they can help the hounds too? Please email fundraising@foreverhoundstrust.org letting us know your address and how many books you want, we will then get some sent to you. Each book contains 10 tickets, tickets are ยฃ1 each.

On behalf of Hopper, we thank you, it is because of your support he now has the chance of a happy future, and with your help we will be there for more hounds like him.

Notes:

Our ‘Help a Hound’ Big Give Appeal runs from Midday on Tuesday 3rd December until midday on Tuesday 10th December.

Our Raffle is live now, and remittance and stubs need to be back with us by 8th January 2025 for the draw on Thursday 16th January 2025.
