Forever Hounds Trust is delighted to hear that, following a vote in the Senedd today, the greyhound racing ban in Wales has passed to the next stage of the legislative process. This marks a significant step towards Wales becoming the first nation in the UK to ban greyhound racing.
The vote by Senedd members supporting the general principles of the greyhound racing bill paves the way for the ‘sport’ to be outlawed by April 2030. The bill will still go through further votes before it becomes law, but this is a huge milestone for greyhounds in Wales.
