Post Homing Support – a guest blog

27/03/2020

Keeping Your Hound on their Sofa

Guest Blog by Carole Fahy, Post Homing Support Co-ordinator Forever Hounds Trust

It is Forever Hounds Trust’s commitment to every adopter of one of our dogs that they will be entitled, absolutely free of charge, to qualified behavioural support for the life of that dog.

In these difficult times, our Post Homing Support Team are here, as always, to advise on any behavioural issues you may be experiencing with your FHT hound.

Our usual way of working has always been mainly through email and telephone consultations, making only the occasional visit (which has always been the exception).

So, essentially it is business as usual for the Post Homing Support team .

If you have a query about any issue you are experiencing with your FHT dog, from simple settling in concerns such as disturbed nights or inappropriate toileting to more complex behavioural issues that you need help with, one of our  behaviourists will talk this through with you (by telephone/ email),  suggest solutions and put in place a training plan ,where appropriate, to help you work through.

And we will support you every step of the way.

You will be able contact your behaviourist direct and  phone or email them as long as you need, while they in turn will follow up with you regularly to see how things are going.

Please remember, the Post Homing Support Team are here for you , more than ever in these difficult times – so please feel free to ask for our help.

It has never been more important to keep our hounds on their Forever Sofas!
