Sadly though, thousands of greyhounds ARE ‘born to race’, and charities like ours need to pick up the pieces. Dogs often come to us in poor physical condition; some have horrendous injuries sustained on a racetrack. Even those greyhounds without obvious injury often have physical or behavioural problems caused by a life of racing. It’s so common for greyhounds to have these problems that it has been normalised, but it’s not normal….not if they were allowed to ‘live’ their lives.
We NEED to be there for them and help them make the transition from ‘racing to living’, and we need YOUR help to do this.
