It’s Volunteer’s Week, and we’re delighted to introduce you to two of our newest volunteers who are already making an impact for hounds in need.
Andy and Charlotte have recently signed up to run social walks for Forever Hounds Trust, an activity that is enjoyed by many and raises awareness and funds to allow us to help hounds in need.
Here’s what they had to say….
We have adopted beautiful sighthounds from Forever Hounds Trust (and previously GRWE) for over 20 years. Several lurchers have previously shared our home and we enjoyed their delightful company.
We are now the proud parents of recently adopted Winston and Coco. Both are young, retired racing greyhounds that have settled in beautifully. We travel with them both all over, visiting woodlands, beaches, various towns and cities and have frequently relaxed with us in a cafe or two.
To have the opportunity to organise social walks for sighthounds and parents to have a few hours to socialise in beautiful locations is a pleasure. Promoting sighthounds as great pets is very important to us, they are wonderful dogs.
The process of volunteering with Forever Hounds Trust has been very positive with a very friendly team to support us. We are very excited to start the first of our local social walks at scenic Stourhead.
