Connor has been on our website an awful long time, but…sadly….he STILL hasn’t found his home. He was six years old on the 20th April, and has been in our care since he was two years old. That’s an awfully long time in the relatively short life of a dog. Is he the most unloved dog in the whole country?
Please read, and watch on for a day in the life of Connor, maybe, just maybe this will help get him a home.
The first job of the day is greeting your carers…especially when they have your breakfast! Food is one of Connor’s favourite things in the whole wide world! Just imagine being greeted by this lovely face every morning!
Once breakfast has gone down, it’s morning walkies time with friends! Although he loves going for walks with other dogs, he wouldn’t like to share his home comforts with them, so will need to be the only dog in the home.
What’s the best thing to do after having your morning walk? Cuddles and ear rubs of course! These come a VERY close second to food as his favourite things! He is a very affectionate boy, who relishes the one-on-one times he has with his carers. Hence, why he would like a home of his own where he will be the centre of attention.
Breakfast was a while ago, so Connor’s tummy is rumbling around this time! What better than a bit of food and enrichment activities all rolled into one? (rolled being the operative word – those pesky Kongs just won’t stay still!)
Connor can guard food and other nice things if he thinks it’s going to be taken from him – but all he needs is understanding adopters, who know he will happily swap most items for a tasty treat. Oh, and to keep him out of the kitchen! So, if you’re an adult-only home, and stocked up on Kongs, Connor will be a happy boy!
It’s about time for his afternoon walk, and THANK GOODNESS it’s not raining! Connor does not like going for walks in the rain, or the cold – he’d much prefer to snuggle up under a blanket! He also doesn’t need long walks either, as he’s a real couch potato who likes a good snooze on the sofa! Pretty low maintenance, we think!
Afternoon walk done, and he didn’t get wet..phew! Now the best part of the day, more one-on-one time and cuddles! Connor is really affectionate and interactive with people and has perfected the “paw of more” for when you dare to stop giving him attention! We wish we could spend every minute of the day with this special boy, but sadly we have lots of other hounds to look after too. But, a home of his own is just what Connor needs…just imagine, lots of cuddles with this gorgeous boy…what could be better?
NOM NOM, teatime done and dusted, now for an after-dinner treat which he takes so politely. Bearing in mind his love for food, he’s such a good boy.
This brings Connor’s day to an end, to be repeated again, day after day. Connor is a sensitive lad who just wants a loving home, his own family to shower him with love, and lots of comfy beds (and food, of course!).
Four birthdays in kennels is just too much; please don’t let it be a fifth. Can you offer this lovely dog a home, click here to read his full profile.
