Bath’s own Christmas Concert for Dogs!

28/11/2016

Forever Hounds Trust is inviting both hounds and humans alike to join its Christmas celebrations at the end of the Trust’s 20th birthday year.

The audience are in for a real treat at the concert on Wednesday 14th December, 7.30pm at St Michael’s Without, Broad Street, Bath.  Not only are there three wonderful choirs performing Christmas tunes, but mezzo soprano Hanna-Liisa Kirchin will also be taking to the stage.

BBC Presenter and star of Coast and The One Show, Miranda Krestovnikoff will also be performing in the concert.

The audience will be encouraged to participate in a couple of Christmas Carols, and also to join voice with the choirs in a rendition of the Trust’s very own version of a Christmas classic – ‘The 12 Dog Days of Christmas’.

The choirs are all travelling to Bath especially for the occasion. Great Western Harmony are a choir made up of nurses and staff from the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, The Blue Notes are a female choir from Cheltenham and The BlueBelles are a fantastic a capella choir from Wiltshire.

Rachel Grocott, CEO of Forever Hounds Trust said: “Forever Hounds Trust has had a wonderful 20th anniversary year and we can think of no better way to round it off than with a celebratory Christmas Concert. We would love to see as many people as possible there and are very grateful to St Michael’s Without for allowing us to invite dogs into the Church for the event.”

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £5 for children and dogs are free. There will be refreshments available throughout the evening. Tickets are available on the door or in advance at www.foreverhoundstrust.org/concert.

Forever Hounds Trust is dedicated to rescuing and finding homes for greyhounds and lurchers in need. Established in Bath two decades ago, the Trust (formerly known as GRWE, Greyhound Rescue West of England), now rescues hundreds of dogs each year throughout England. The charity currently have many dogs waiting for a new home. If you can help please get in touch with them on 03000 111 100.
