Desperate Measures for Flo!

Hello everyone! 👋

My name is Floella, and I’m the new hairy lurcher on the block. I’m bouncy, affectionate, and love nothing more than cuddles, fuss, and playful games with my carers. I’ve got a big heart, a silly sense of humour, and a talent for making people smile.

I’d love to be the only dog in a calm, loving home with adopters who can give me gentle support and reassurance – I can be a little uncertain in new situations. But once I feel safe, I’m a total lovebug, full of funny little quirks that will brighten every day.

Okay, okay, I suppose some of you may have spotted it: I’m not really a hairy lurcher – it’s ME….FLO! 😉 A girl has to do something to find herself a home, doesn’t she?

I’ve been watching my friend Billy, a gorgeous hairy lurcher, go viral when his picture was posted on social media. People fell in love with him instantly, and the home offers came flooding in. I was thrilled for him – truly – but it made me feel a little sad and overlooked. I’ve been waiting ten whole months for someone to notice me… 😢

So, I decided to try wearing the best furry coat ever and pretend I was a hairy lurcher to see if people would fall in love with me, just like they did Billy.

But, here’s the truth – it’s never about looks, it’s about what’s inside your heart (although, I must admit…I do look rather fabulous in my new “hairy lurcher” outfit!)

I’m still me – full of love, mischief, and snuggles – and I hope someone will look past the coat and see what a beautiful soul I really am, both inside and out. I hope they realise that I’m a girl worth giving a forever home to. 🙏
