When beautiful Eden arrived into our care from a home at 11.5 years old and needing a dental, it didn’t feel right to put her back into kennels after her operation. We just didn’t think she would cope; she needed love, care and home comforts so she went into foster where she would stay until a new forever home was found for her.
We always think it takes a special person to adopt a hound in their twilight years, not quite knowing how long they will have with them. So, when we received a home offer that said “We’ve lost two old ladies in the last 2 years. We like to take on the oldies and an old, quiet female greyhound would suit our current household”; they were quickly invited to meet Eden!
That’s all it took, and Eden has gone to live in Somerset with her new mum, dad and three other hounds! They say
Eden is settling so well & really starting to show her character which is lovely. She is even joining in with Woody’s squirrel chasing in the garden, albeit a little way behind, bless her!

We’ve also since received a further update, and it’s all good news!
“Eden is doing really, really well. She is gaining confidence and has settled into her new routine, enjoying her walks, first in line for food and has decided which dog bed and sofa are her favourites!
Our guys are very happy with her and she seems to be enjoying being part of the gang so all is well.
We wish them all a very happy future together! 💕
