We love receiving updates on how our adopted hounds are loving their lives post-adoption, so we were delighted to receive this update on Enda (formerly Watson), who’s been enjoying his travels!
We adopted Enda in April 2022. He is a wonderfully calm and loving hound – we, and the extended family all adore him.
Here he is on his latest holiday adventures at the fabulous dog-friendly Caherconnell stone fort on the Burren in County Clare, Ireland – staff were very welcoming and treated Enda like a long-lost relative. He’s also pictured on the beach at An Spidéal in the Connemara Gaeltacht in County Galway and at Bunratty Folk Park in County Clare.
Enda attracted a lot of interest and admiration wherever we went from locals (a Greyhound! On holiday!), and fellow tourists from around the world alike – we got to speak to many people we might not have otherwise done.
The red deer at Bunratty was also very interested in Enda, we think he thought Enda was a young deer! (Whaaat! he’s huge, I’m out of here thought Enda).
Big thanks to Stenna Line who recently made the fantastic decision to introduce dog-friendly cabins on their UK to Ireland ferry routes. We went from Fishguard and it was a wonderful stress-free crossing for us and Enda. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take their hound to Ireland.
