Last month, handsome Proki celebrated his very first Gotcha Day! However, what is unusual about this post is that Proki isn’t actually a Forever Hounds Trust adoptee….
Being a dedicated sighthound rescue, we sometimes get approached by all breed rescues asking for our help in promoting their dogs to our sighthound-loving followers. Proki was struggling to find a home at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare despite the team’s best efforts, so we agreed to feature him on our website as, ultimately, our aim is getting hounds into homes, and often rescue is stronger together.
We’ll leave his lovely mum, a Forever Hounds Trust Supporter to pick up the story….
Recently it was Proki’s first Gotcha Day. If it weren’t for Forever Hounds helping out fellow rescue, Raystede, it wouldn’t have been possible. The last 18 months have been a challenging and amazing journey for me, and to have my spotty companion with me since last July has meant the world and helped me in so many ways.
He is gentle, mad, funny, laid back to the point of horizontal and has almost zero recall 😂. He makes me smile and laugh everyday and has played a huge part in my road to fitness.
He loves pretty much everyone, and especially his ‘Dad’.
Thank you Forever Hounds Trust – you have made the world of difference for me and my boy 🥰
