A couple of happy homing stories that debunk some myths….
We often get asked whether we get puppies into our care, and the answer is YES! Five month old siblings Simba and Narla arrived into our care a few weeks back. After careful assessment it was decided that they would be happier with families of their own where they could be the centre of attention! They were soon on their way to their new lovely new homes!
Narla
Narla, now called Rue is loving life with her lovely new mum and dad in Devon! Her cuddly duck is her favourite toy, she takes it to bed with her and brings it down again in the morning! Oh, and she loves her mum and dad very much!
Simba
A few interesting facts about Simba’s homing…
Firstly, his new family includes young children, so he’s going to have loads of fun growing up with them! We often hear people saying that rescues don’t home to families with young children, well, just like Simba, we’ve homed dogs to many families with children where we’ve assessed the dog is suitable.
Secondly, he is now living in Hertfordshire! Although our Centre is in Devon, as long as people are willing to make the journey to come and meet their potential new family member (and the journey is normally more than worth it!) we home to families right around the country!
We wish Simba and Rue very happy futures with their new families!
