Our wonderful kennel team invest so much time, energy and love into the hounds they look after, and whilst the desire to see them happily homed overrides everything, saying farewell is never easy.
Therefore, they love to hear updates on how their former charges are getting on, but Lark went one step better. He paid them a visit armed with donations for our other hounds who are still waiting for their forever homes…and treats for the team!
He, along with his mum and dad posed for a photo with some of the kennel team, before presenting them with a lovely card he had written (we have a sneaky feeling he may have had a little help, otherwise he has very neat writing!).
Here’s what he said…
Lark here, I’ve been with my new family for six months now and I’m truly living my best life. I love treats (especially Bonios and peanut butter in my Kong), cuddles, chewing stuff and zoomies!
I’ve had lots of adventures too and enjoy a trip to the seaside where always get lots of lovely compliments on my looks. My new favourite thing is a roast dinner which I get every Sunday whether I’ve chewed stuff or not. None of this would be possible if it hadn’t been for Forever Hounds rescuing me and taking such excellent care of me whilst they waited for my mum and dad to come along.
Of course it hasn’t all been plain sailing for me as I have had a few quirks and anxieties, but my mum and dad are so patient are helping me through it all. I also suffer terribly with pesky corns, it’s sucks but my parents know all about them as my angel sister Carla also suffered with them. So far I’ve had surgery on my left foot and it’s much more comfortable now, but I am due to have an op on my right foot sometime soon. I’m not worried about it though as I have the best team of doctors and nurses at the surgery. They are my fan club and they all love to see me and make a fuss of me.
I really hope that donation of bedding and treats etc helps all my friends that still waiting for their perfect match. The chocolate and sweets are for you humans if you ever get a break to eat them.
Thank you again for everything you did for me and all you continue to do for the pups in your care.
Thank you so much to Lark for bringing your lovely mum and dad to see us again!
