Well Done Gareth! One Down, Three to Go!

A huge THANK YOU and congratulations to Gareth!

Gareth – a long-time supporter and adopter – recently ran the Chicago Marathon in aid of Forever Hounds Trust!

Here’s what he had to say about his incredible experience:

I had the most amazing day running the Chicago Marathon. It was incredible. The atmosphere was amazing, the crowd were so loud and supportive. The weather was perfect for running and the course was incredible. I saw so many cool things as I ran around the city. I don’t think my run could have gone any better. I felt so strong up until mile 23 when I started to tire, but by then I knew I was heading for an incredible time and managed to find a strong finish at the end. My fundraising total has rocketed to £796, which is amazing considering I still have three more marathons to run! I’m now back in training and starting to think about Tokyo.

Gareth has already raised an amazing amount to help the hounds in our care — thank you to everyone who has sponsored him so far! But remember, this is part of his Major Marathon Challenge — and he’s not done yet!

He still has three more marathons to go:

• Tokyo Marathon – Sunday 1st March 2026
• Cape Town Marathon – Sunday 24th May 2026
• New York City Marathon – Sunday 1st November 2026
